
How to Block ~99.9% of Ads on Websites Including YouTube

Using a good content blocker such as uBlock Origin can save you time, mobile data, and enhance your privacy. There is no losing in using it.
On a Linux, Windows, or macOS Computer
- Install Mozilla Firefox: [Download for Linux/Windows/macOS]
- Install uBlock Origin: [Download for Firefox]
- Click on the uBlock Origin extension icon. It might be under the extensions menu which looks like a puzzle piece.
- You'll see the settings icon which are a bunch of gears. Click it to open the dashboard.
- Go to the filter lists tab and enable whatever you want. The lists are categorised, so if you want to get rid of cookie notices, scroll down a bit and check the boxes. Click the apply changes button and you're good to go.
- You can even add other blocklists to uBlock Origin from a variety of different sources from the Internet. For example, there are filters to block YouTube Shorts and to bypass paywalls on some websites! :O
- Simply paste links to whatever blocklists you find in the import box and apply changes!
